SpeakerText

I’m the VP of Engineering at SpeakerText, a San Francisco-based startup company. We aim to be the source for online video and podcast transcription by providing a cheap, on-demand, and high-quality speech-to-text service. As is the case with most startups, I work on the front-end, the back-end, and everything in between. I write Ruby on Rails by day and jQuery by night.Visit the site »

The Smart Grid: Modernizing the U.S. Electricity Infrastructure

A paper I wrote for a class I took in Fall 2009 entitled “Energy Resources and Utilization.” Provides a high-level overview of how the power grid works, the reasons why we need a smarter grid, and explains the technologies that are most-often grouped under the smart grid heading. Possibly the first paper I wrote in college that has wide applicability and interest. You should read it, but please don’t steal it! Download »

Snake World Tour

A Nibbles clone I wrote in 2006. Coded in C++ using the SDL cross-platform graphics library. I never “finished” it, but all it needed was a few more levels and some sounds. Perhaps I’ll put it up here someday. More Information »
