It’s Showtime

I think we can all guess, by the title of the invitation emailed to media this morning, what will be occurring in Apple-land a week from now. An iTunes movie store (finally!) seems to be a sure thing, with a strong likelihood of the “true video iPod” that has been discussed for months.

Apple InvitationAfter a somewhat unexciting year of Apple in the consumer space, seeing this invitation has got me truly excited. The iPod line has remained largely unchanged this year because of the recently completed Intel transition. Seeing a preview of Leopard was cool, but we have to wait until 2007 to get our hands on that.

The phrases and artwork on these Apple invitations are true genius. It’s Showtime. We’ve been holding our collective breath for a while, and with two words we now know that there is only one more week to wait. Apple, start dazzling us again.
